Capturing Magic for Mobile!

The Gulf Coast’s home for Creativity!

We create exceptional theatre experiences that inspire and engage the Gulf Coast community.

There’s theater, and then there’s The PACT Theatre Co.

Celebrate the difference.

The PACT Theatre Company was founded in 2018 to create exceptional theatre experiences that inspire and engage the Gulf Coast community. The PACT Theatre Company strives to make each production unique and unlike others you may have seen. Productions that are new to the community, relevant to the community, or different from what they have seen before.

Jacob Rowe, Artistic & Executive Director, receives The Freddie G. Fellowship

At the 2024 Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta, GA our Artistic & Executive Director, Jacob Rowe, was awarded the 2024 Freddie G. Fellowship. Named for MTI Co-Chairman Freddie Gershon, the fellowship is bestowed annually on five exceptional educators and includes an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City for professional development with Broadway greats and a $5,000 grant for the educator’s theatre program.

For theatre instructors, the Freddie G Fellowship is a highly coveted honor. Created by Music Theatre International CEO and Tony Honors for Excellence recipient Freddie Gershon, the fellowship welcomes a select group of theatre instructors to be part of an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City each summer for the opportunity to work one-on-one with industry professionals in a weekend of seminars, master classes, and Broadway shows. In addition, each of the participating teachers receives $5,000 from Gershon and his wife Myrna to enhance their arts program.

“The four days will fully engage the winning teachers in the Broadway musical theatre world and provide one-of-a-kind learning opportunities for them to take back to their schools, students and communities,” Gershon said in a statement. “These teachers perform inspiring work with limited financial resources. We want to give them the opportunity to live the Broadway experience and interact with qualified professionals to reward them for all they do to introduce the next generations to live theatre and simultaneously enhance their knowledge, skills and experience.

The PACT Theatre Co and Spring Hill College Partner Up!

The PACT Theatre Co and Spring Hill College Partner Up!

Spring Hill College is excited to announce a new partnership with PACT Theatre Company, who will host classes, productions and much more in the Arlene Mitchell Theater on the historic campus. The collaboration begins April 1.

“We’re excited about this collaboration and hope it will lead to many more opportunities. We’re also looking forward to bringing even more Mobilians to our gorgeous campus,” Provost Rebecca Cantor said.

Founded in 2018, PACT strives to produce unique stories that engage and inspire the Gulf Coast community. Last November, to enhance audience experience, the company took its production of Disney’s “Tarzan: The Musical” outdoors at Langan Park. Over 500 people attended the final showing.

In a Facebook post, PACT shared, “…We cannot wait to begin this partnership with such a historic educational institute here in Mobile, Alabama! We are looking forward to holding our classes, shows, and various programs on the beautiful campus of Spring Hill College for many years to come! Go badgers!”

Many great things are to come from this newly formed relationship between PACT and Spring Hill.

The PACT Theatre Company receives an award from Visit Mobile!

We were excited to be invited to the 2022 Visit Mobile Annual Business Meeting and were honored (and surprised) to receive “The Field of Dreams Award.”
We love our city and community, and we are so thankful for the support from Visit Mobile, The City of Mobile, and the community for believing in and supporting the arts and us here at The PACT Theatre Company! We are so thankful for this recognition and award and so lucky to be a part of the amazing culture here in Mobile!
Below is the description of the award that was read during the presentation:
The Field of Dreams MOBie is awarded to the organization and team that created a Mobile for all to enjoy. Truly living up to the phrase, “if you build it, they will come,” this recipient brings a fresh take on many popular stage shows that we all know and love.
Their popularity is growing rapidly and we are big fans of their productions.
This year, the Field of Dreams Award recipient is The PACT Theatre Company.
